Doing medicine differently

Interview with Sisterhood of the Second Act

What others are saying. . .

“Roanoke is very fortunate to have a primary care physician of the caliber of Christy Arthur. Her knowledge, skills, experience, and bedside manner are tremendous. I had an appointment with Dr. Christy on Monday, and she spent a full hour with me. She listened attentively to my medical history, concerns, and issues and answered all my questions. I left her office feeling heard, cared for, and confident that my medical care is in such capable hands. If you are looking for a top notch physician, I would highly recommend Dr. Christy!!” —HG

“Highly recommend Dr. Christy Arthur and Ultra Primary Care. Long overdue option for PCP services in the Roanoke Valley. The holistic approach to patient healthcare in a no rush environment is so refreshing. My family has had the pleasure to be under the professional and compassionate care of Dr. Arthur for a number of years. Thank you for launching your new practice!” —PLG

Direct Primary Care Model

  • A low monthly fee

  • Appointments by telephone, video, or in-person

  • Access to your doctor when you need it via phone, text, and portal

What you receive

  • The security of access to an experienced physician

  • The time you need with your doctor

  • A doctor who knows you and your history

  • Access to discounted lab prices

What you Leave Behind

  • Long waiting times to your appointment

  • A rushed and stressful experience

  • Poor communication with your medical team

  • Insurance company frustrations

How is direct primary care different?

Fewer patients

Did you know that most Primary Care Providers have between 2,500-3,500 patients? We limit our practice to under 700 patients total. That means that your doctor spends more time with you when you need her. Plus, when she is not actively seeing a patient, she is able to help coordinate your care and research your treatments.

No Insurance

Ultra Primary Care does not bill any insurance plans so you won’t have a middle-man in your primary care. Decisions about your healthcare will be made by you and your doctor without the impersonal management that comes from third-party payers. Instead, you pay a monthly membership fee which can save money and covers excellent treatment.

I’m Dr. Christy Arthur, and I’m shaking up the status quo.

Since 2000, I’ve been treating people just like you.

And while I love complex medical cases, I don’t love the complexity of insurance red tape.

I do love talking to people, using my “coaching hat”, and listening to your story. It makes all the difference.

Because you deserve a doctor who “gets” you, who will be there for you, and who has the time you need.
